Holly & Eric were my winners of my Engagement Session contest from what seems like eons ago, but it was actually just last year.  Months after I announced Holly & Eric as the winners, I found out that Holly & Eric were actually friends of a friend of mine from college!  The small world story?  Lauren is a friend that I met through our service fraternity in college what seemed like years after I graduated.  Lauren happened to be reading Holly's blog about her wedding planning since she knows Eric from growing up in PA.  Holly announced that she won the contest and that's when Lauren put two and two together.  Such a small world! 

I now know why Holly & Eric's sweet, but quirky engagement story caught my attention.  They are so much fun and laid back, and if they were in the area, I know we'd be local friends! :) I felt so special that they came all the way out to the DC Metro area for the session, when they are currently living and planning a wedding in Kentucky!  These two met at the University of Maryland, so it seemed appropriate for their session to be there.  I've never been to the campus so I was pretty excited to drive out there.  Although it was raining all day, we still got in some super fun shots all over campus.

Testudo is the UofM mascot and they had a bunch of different statues like this scattered all over the campus.  Tradition says that you rub his nose before an exam for luck.  Notice how shiny his nose is .

Congrats Holly & Eric!  I can't wait to hear all about your fabulous wedding next month and your honeymoon in Cali.  I know everything is just going to be perfect!  Good luck househunting in Philly.  Thanks so much for being such a cool couple and so much fun to work with.  Special thanks to Holly's sis, Laurel for coming with us and being the best assistant ever!  Holly is so lucky to have such an awesome sister.
